Maybe sometimes you confuse with your sentences, it will make you fell worried with what are you writing about :) just pay attention for what will I explain to you.. Oh before that, I want to say thank you so much for Mrs. Agustin for this lesson! It makes every words I say be better than before!

7 English Sentence Pattern

1. Subject + Verb + ... (go, sleep, run, come, walk, sit....)
Ex : My mother has left for Singapore.
My mother is the Subject then left for is the verb.

2. Subject + Verb + Object + ... (eat, see, drink, want, cut, watch, put....)
Ex : I met the headmaster yesterday.
"I" is the Subject, met is the verb and the headmaster is the object.

3. Subject + "be" + Adjective + ...
Ex : She was very sad last night.
She is the subject, was is the "be", and sad is the adjective.

4. Subject + "be" + Noun (phrase) + ...
Ex : This is my new home.
This is the Subject, "is" the "be", and my new home is the phrase.

5. Subject + "be" + to Infinitive > (verb 1) + ...
Ex : I am to go
'I' is the Subject, am as the "be", and to go is the to Infinitive.

6. Subject + "be" + Adverb : Time or Place, or both. + ...
Ex : My pen is in my bag.
My pen is the Subject, "is" is the "be", and in my bag is the adverb of place.

7. Subject + linking Verb + Adjective + ...
Linking verb is verb that could replace "be", but not all verb can be linking verb, just some certain verbs.
Ex : I feel very happy now.
'I' as the Subject, feel is the linking verb. why? Cause when you replace it with "be" like "am" it's has the same meaning. and "happy" is the adjective.

So far.. how was my explaining? Could it help you?  :-)
